Please help. What is causing this?

For years now, I have been suffering nerve pains (I am 25 years old). It feels like a shooting electrical current running through my nerves constantly. Some days I just have the pain running from my fingers to my elbows or my toes to my ankle and others the pain will be all over my body even my face and ears. It is very painful. I have seen a Neurologist and he didn't know what it was and didn't want to do any tests even though my blood tests came back with inflammation readings that were high. I will be getting a second opinion but I can't find much on the net about it and I have to wait a year for another neurologist appt. Does anyone else suffer anything like this or have any ideas what could be causing it.
