Assassins creed 2 Leonardo da Vinci not in villa! Did game glitch?

Ok, so o did quite a bit of research on where leonardo is at. Well, so on my game I'm at the part where you must find all the codex pages to move on with the game, I have all the pages but when go to the villa he isn't there so I literally can't do anything, id anyone else encounter this problem? Did my game glitch on me and I have to start the game over? Don't tell me to look in other cities because he isn't anywhere
