Whats an awesome scientist that i can use for my project? 10 pts.?

Every body in my class are doing all of these boring scientist like albert Einstein and leonardo di vinci and ben franklin. But i want to do a scientist that invented or discovered something that's really cool and that would impress my science teacher. Thought about doing my project based on Walt Disney but i thought it would be too easy and kinda childish :P
