Which well-known artist such as Da Vinci, Monet, etc. can be used for a theme such as lust and abuse?

I think I'd go with Vincent Van Gough (?sp). The guy was certifiable! He cut off one of his ears ... I think because he hadn't heard from his gf. That may not be the reason, but it's definitely that he cut off his ear!
