I am a bit strange in my ways, but i live by them. First u need to figure out the exact place u want to end, i usually write the last few chapters first. Then put urself into that last scene where u got stuck and pretend u r the protagonist... and speak to the other characters. Its easier to think up how they will respond if u feel like u r really talking to them. U dont have to do it aloud, but try it before u call me crazy. :)

How can I make the front suspension softer for Da Vinci Cameleon?

My boyfriend has a green da vinci cameleon mountain bike and can't get the front suspension to go more than half way down. When we bought it the guy said that the height was good but didn't say that you have to be over 200lb for the suspension to be okay. Does meditation really help us?Is it useful?

Well i have been reading about yoga and meditation and how it relaxes your body, helps you calm down and concentrate. Well I am a willing learner, and try out yoga postures daily. It does help me relax and increases y flexibility. However I have my doubts about meditation, the real dillema for me is that if I want to learn to concentrate i can't help but ask how is sitting there doing nothing helping? My type of meditation is just relaxing and concentrating on breathing. This should be done for around 30 mintues or so. That is where my problem lies, i can't get myself to do it when i know so much can be done in half an hour instead of just sitting. If someone can convince me( and i really want to be convinced) I can sit down with a good conscience. Any personal experience or types of meditation would be appreciated as well . Need Help! Stomach Problem!?

I'm turning to strangers for advice because I can't find help anywhere else. I'm scared and I'm positive something is wrong. It all started in December when I came home from work, ate dinner (tuna fish to be exact) and minutes later I suffered severe nausea. I thought it was just the flu or food poisoning. A few days later I developed what I thought was acid reflux and I went to my doctor. He said it was just a stomach bug and I'd be better in a few days. He put me on prilosec. A few days later I went back to him and I still didn't feel better. Eventually, he referred me to a specialist in my area. After seeing the specialist, he drew blood and sent me for a scan of my colon/intestine. He determined that it could be H. pylori, the bacteria in your stomach that causes ulcers. So, he put me on three courses of antibiotics. I was on 2,000 mgs a day! Apparently that's the only way to kill that. I ended up in the hospital because the antibiotics were so strong. I fought through it, finished the meds, and I still didn't feel better! So I went back to the specialist and he said it must be just a virus that kinda "shocked" my stomach's nervous system and I'd be better in a few months. Between these visits, I was in the ER a dozen times. I also had a barium swallow done (where you swallow that chalky mixture and they take xrays of it going through your intestines) I've had numerous blood tests to rule out possible celiacs, lactose intolerance etc. Everything came back normal. So, eventually I was referred to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, one of the best. They took me in right away and the Dartmouth doctor said something along the same lines as the other specialist. He said that a virus or a bacteria or toxin damaged my Enteric Nervous System (the part of your brain that controls your digestive tract) and that there sounds like slight stomach emptying problems which is causing acid reflux. He said I'd be better in a few months. That was 5 months ago. Recently I've also seen a throat specialist who diagnosed me with LPR, a form of acid reflux that damages your voice box. And I have to mention that I've been on prilosec from december to may and now Dexilant for two months as prescribed by the throat specialist. Yesterday I had bad diarreah and today I feel so heavy in my stomach, like it's not digesting anything. It's horrible. So to recap: I've had: A barium Swallow exam, small bowel follow up exam and xrays, scan and xrays of my colon, xrays of my stomach, intestines, an ultrasound, numerous blood tests, and have seen 12 doctors. They ruled out chrone's disease, celiacs, tumors, ulcers, etc. What could have happened to me back in december that was like a light switch and ruined my life??? I just want to get to the end of this. Please, if anyone has been through anything similar please help me. I've seen 7 ER doctors, two MDs, three gastroenterologists and a throat specialist. I just don't get it. Dartmouth said that he wasn't going to give me an endoscopy based on my age (26, male) and medical history and they are one of the best hospitals around. Also, I'm always constipated, always have an acid reflux feeling, always burping (not normal burps, though) and always always a full feeling in my stomach. I'm hoping someone out there has had similar expereinces cause damn, I feel scared and alone and feel like no one will listen. Once when I was in high school clay pottery class I stuck a large sharp tool inside a clay tower I quickly made. Wow, That's kinda deep. Before Picasso entered his cubist phase, he did some impressionistic portraits (see his blue period) that seem vaugely reminscent of da vinci. But Da Vinci was an early Renaissance artist and his paintings were very literal. His sketches revealed a keen eye for observation and detail. I think both artists had an eye for detail and both were very influential to their contemporaries as well as later artists. But Picasso's abstractions really set him apart from the Rennaissance and DaVinci did a lot of mechanical drawings (see the aerial screw schematic, and other plans for machines). Also Davinci did a few sculptures of bronze. I may be wrong, but I think Picasso only did drawings and paintings. Plus Picasso made way more money.

OK, well The Great Gatsby is an absolute classic! It is set in the 1920's era, known as the Roaring 20's and you can tell this because it's a time of social change. For years now, I have been suffering nerve pains (I am 25 years old). It feels like a shooting electrical current running through my nerves constantly. Some days I just have the pain running from my fingers to my elbows or my toes to my ankle and others the pain will be all over my body even my face and ears. It is very painful. I have seen a Neurologist and he didn't know what it was and didn't want to do any tests even though my blood tests came back with inflammation readings that were high. I have been put on various medications to try and treat it but nothing seems to work. I used to suffer from severe migranes when i was around 13 but they have dissappeared now. I haven't had a direct anxiety disorder, but separation anxiety. I Never took medication and got over it. But, I had a friend who had anxiety disorder, he took propranolol and it did help, but i also suggest yoga, and sports, don't worry about anything. Give the medicine a try but if it doesn't work out for you, you can easily come off of it. Anxiety can be bothering to you and your friends and family. If you want to start propranolol, start with 20mg. Hope it helps

My boyfriend and I have been together a little over two years. In the beginning I was extremely happy with things. I loved the fact that he showered me with attention and cared about everything that was going on in my life, which was unlike any guy I have ever been with before. I also caught him in an obvious lie (the history on his computer) and he denied it and told me that basically I was crazy and that I never believed him but then half an hour later he admitted he lied. We work at the same place (which was how we met) and caught him flirting with a bunch of girls. When I confronted him about it he screamed in my face and made me feel like a dog. I'm just lost. I don't want to hurt him but I can't take this clinginess anymore. I used to be such a strong, independent girl before him but lately it seems like I'm slipping into the background. My son was involved in a a drug related felony of possession and intent to sell. He was 16 at the time of his crime and the court required him to complete so many hours of community service along with some credit recovery programs for school. Also they obviously required that he not leave the country. However I recently ran into finical problems and had to move to Mexico. I was full aware that this went against my child's probation but I had to consider the rest of my family. My son did not want to move because he knew of the consciences but I proceeded anyways. What could be wrong with me?

Just lately i have been getting REALLY bad stomach cramps. I have been coughing up phlegm, to the point its actually choked me a few times. Im sweating extensively, and im getting tired really easily. The other day i was in an athletics contest. Which im usually really good at. And on the 800 meters my throat just closed up, and i couldnt breathe... And i ended up in the first aid unit. Also im constipated, which is discusting :S And my ribs are aching like crazy! The airport is approximately 20 miles from the city center, and trains leave for the train station in Rome every 30 min or so. Its the least expensive way to get into Rome. The train is around 10 euro and a taxi is probably around 50 euro. If you have a lot of luggage I would recommend taking the train to Stazione Termini and from there taking a taxi to your hotel. The nearest subway station is about 1/4 mile away from the fountain. The best way and most inexpensive is to walk. The historic section of Rome is not huge and most things are within a mile radius of Trevi fountain. The metro (subway) is also a great bargain. A one way trip is 1 euro (at least it was in 2008). The underground system is not complicated. There are two separate lines and basically make a large X, with the connecting point being at the train station. I would recommend going to your local bookstore and buying a guidebook to study before you go. The maps itself with show the underground system better than I can describe it. Rome is an awesome place, and you must eat a pizza on an outdoor table along a bustling street. That in itself is an experience I'll never forget.

I do believe there's a higher intelligence that doesn't personally interfere in our life but gives us all we need to grow as a soul at birth, we just need to look inside ourselves to find the love and guidance God has given us and has written into our conscience, free will, understanding, intellect, respect and love. Its in the quiet moments, times of reflection and meditation we find the God. He has written the answers for us in our hearts and if we reflect on these pure thoughts and emotions we feel the love God put in us and we can share it only through feeling it flow in our hearts. Enlightened people will come into contact with this and see that religion teaches you to look to them instead of inside yourself. Teaches you to trust them and stop using your own reasoning's or thinking for yourself. But if you don't look inside yourself and use the logic, reasoning and thinking ability God gave you, you cant accomplish what God has intended for you or grow to true spiritual enlightenment. Religion actually disconnects you from God and disconnects you from finding the love in your heart that allows you to respect others and connect through that love. What would this belief be considered or called?

Pre teen overweight daughter w/ absolutely no motivation...= (?

My daughter is 12 yrs old she is over weight & very self conscience and sometimes depressed about it. I've tried to get her active but she just has no kind of motivation. I don't let her drink soda or anything that's high in sugar...she does have a few bad eating habits that I get down on too. I NEVER get down on her for her weight though because that's mean!! She gets teased a lot and doesn't like going outside cuz she doesn't want ppl looking at her. What are some ideas to try and get her motivated to lose weight. I suffer from chronic pain and the doctors have very little answers as to why..?

So I have decided upon doing some of my own research to attempt to change my diet and take the nutritional approach. I do not want to be dependent on drugs that treat my symptoms I want this pain to stop. One obvious solution is to loose weight. I am 5'5 and I weigh 195 lbs. and I am female. The pain is in my left leg and generates from my knee, down my calf, and over the top of my foot. I have had MRI's, nerve conductivity tests, x-rays, ultrasounds, and physical therapy. Problem is that because of my pain it has the created me to take to not being as physically active as I once was. I hurt to stand, I hurt to sit, I hurt to lay down, I hurt to do just about any damn thing. I have very few moments that are actually pain free. I have suffered from depression due to all this pain. I cannot describe other then I just freaking hurt all the time. Even squatting down so I can use the toilet hurts! So anyone with any advice on what activities or items to remove from my diet that I may be able to do that could by chance encourage my weight loss and pain free desires?

from personal experience there is not much thinking going on really, its like being possessed, by something you have no control over.... its an anxiety related problem.

I think i suffer from depression i am a 14 yer old teenage girl. I only have afew friends and am not popular at school, i used to be but im not now. I hate myself so much and when i read the symptoms of depression online and i think that i could have it but my mam would probably say that i was overreacting and people at school would say i am attention seeking as there already do about another girl in our year who suffers from depression. If you took the pill within about a 2 hour time frame you should be ok. Stomach problems would really only affect if it you took your pill and then threw up within about 2 hours of taking it. Or if you had diarrhea and couldn't keep any thing down. One day isn't really much to worry about.

I have natural dark circles under my eyes & it either looks like i havent slept in days or have been socked when i dont have any make up on. I work for a social service agency and I would highly recommend seeking a counselor. You don't want your children to become paranoid as well by example. There may be a mother's support group also that you could join which your daycare or school may be able to recommend. Your children are only 3-5... the things you worry about when they get older are even bigger than concrete. Try and seek help now while they are young so you and your family can have happy holidays! I am 16 years old but very interested in books about anthropology and archeology. I also love mythology and sort of unrelated but books like The Da Vinci Code.
